The button shifters on MBs have always looked weird and kind of uncomfortable to me.

Do you own a BMW? It’s really quite simple. If you push the lever down, it lets drivers know that you intend to make a left. If you push it up, it lets other drivers know that you intend to make a right.

Eh? The stalks? The buttons?

The button shifters.

Yeah the button shifters.

I’m going to say that they are awful to use due to how small they are

They’re stupid as just the button. Even with the “paddles” they don’t really do much either unless it’s an AMG. Just leave it in the normal automatic mode and put it in Sport if you want it to be a little more aggressive.

Never used one. They definitely look small and not in the right spot, though.

Top one is cruise. Bottom is turn signal. It is awkward. Most people end up turning the cruise on when they mean to signal.

Talking about the button shifters.

Weird. Never heard of them before.
Really, really big Mercs have these and you flick the lever up or down but I don’t know which is any better.

I’ve seen multiple cars with shifter buttons like that. It’s stupid, I prefer actual paddles.

They’re a step up from not being able to control shifting at all. And in my opinion just as good as paddles that don’t rotate with the steering wheel.
R171 SLK?
